For counselling, there are 4 adult counsellors who offer education, individual, couple and family counselling. For psychiatric services, a psychiatrist is available for last week of each session. For fitness, a gymnasium for team sports is available. Families stay 2 to 9 per cabin in 9 available cabins. Prior to admission, applicants must be clean for 90 days. There is also a Child and Youth Therapist who works two days a week and will counsel children with parent approval.  Kakawis is funded by VIHA and Health Canada - First Nations, Inuit Health Branch.
