In Quebec, the Department of Health and Social Services provides the funding and administration for alcohol and drug addictions and gambling services across Quebec.
Health and social services has 16 administration and social services regions and two regions in the North (*). There are 95 local services networks that provide screening, home detox, outpatient counselling and methadone maintenance. Local service networks also provide assessment and screening services and refer individuals requiring enhanced alcohol and drug addiction services to Rehabilitation Centres for Alcoholic and Addicted People (CRPAT). CRPATs provide specialized assessment, and provide support to family and friends.
