In Alberta, government services for drug rehabilitation and alcohol treatment are coordinated through Alberta Health Services (AHS), an agency funded by the Government of Alberta.
Alberta Health Services has direct services (funded and operated entirely by the government of Alberta) and community-based agencies run by independent community boards.
