Note: This is a 9 bed program for men and a 6 bed program for women in 2 gender-separate housing program for adults 18+. When appropriate, clients are also able to have their children live with them at Alpha. Clients must be sober prior to admission and have successfully completed a treatment program or be in active recovery. Clients can self-refer. Clients must attend a minimum of two 12-Step meetings per week. Alpha House’s rate for rent is $500.00 per month at Alpha for Women and $400.00 per month at Alpha for Men. Residents must provide their own food and do their own cooking.

It is preferred that the referring individual or agency will be a significant support after treatment. Henwood is a tobacco-free site; no smoking allowed. Henwood will work with each client to identify possible funding sources. Clients who qualify receive funding through Alberta Works.

Clients must be 30 days sober prior to admission and either successfully completed or in the process of completing a treatment program. Client must be willing and able to seek employment or training. Clients can self-refer, through a professional referral is preferred. Fees may be subject to an increase and may be based on income. A Residential Security Deposit of $500.00 is also required upon admission. Clients who qualify receive funding through Alberta Works.

Note: Poundmaker’s Lodge offers a 42 day program for adults 18+. Clients must be 3 days sober prior to admission. Clients can self-refer, but a professional referral is preferred. Stabilized methadone clients are accepted on a case-by-case basis. Program offers traditional smudging and sweat lodges along-side classroom style education sessions and group therapy. Poundmaker’s Lodge’s rate for room and board is $40.00 per day for Alberta residents, $125.00 per day for out-of-province residents, and $250.00 per day for non-Canadian residents. Financial support may be obtained through CFSA, HRE, AISH, Employers, Employee Assistance Programs, First Nations funding and individuals. Clients who qualify receive funding through Alberta Works. Program offers traditional smudging and sweat lodges. Recreation includes camping trips, nature hikes, canoeing, zip-lines and cultural camps. The 90 Day Young Adult Treatment Program is free for all clients who are Alberta residents.
