Ontario Overview & Quick Facts

Most of the funding for addiction treatment services in Ontario comes from the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. Ontario’s addiction treatment services also receive some funds from the federal government, other provincial ministries, the United Way and private sector funders. The majority of funding for addiction services is administered by the Ontario Substance Abuse Bureau and is responsible for managing and coordinating the province’s addiction treatment system.
